Despite the current epidemiological situation and its negative influence on the economy, nine work centers in Las Tunas were recognized with the National Vanguard Condition, a stimulus granted by the Cuban Trade Union Confederation (CTC), at the proposal of the unions, by the comprehensive results in the productive and union indicators.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- Danuris Ortiz Velázquez, a member of the Provincial Secretariat of the organization, meant that the base business units (UEBs) LUDEMA Furniture, National Buses, Cubataxi, and Dismantling and Construction obtained the high award, plus the Pedro Plaza food production center, the Metal Structures (METUNAS), Fishing (PESCATUN) and Medical Supplies (EMCOMED) companies, and the Territorial Division of ETECSA (Telecommunications).

Ortiz Velázquez highlighted that these entities achieve compliance with their production and service plans with efficiency and quality, good execution of expense budgets, and savings in material resources, raw materials, and energy carriers, among other indicators that place them at the forefront in the province.

She pointed out that they also stand out in the functioning of the union movement and contributions of the Association of Innovators and Rationalizers (ANIR) in the search for solutions to the obstacles generated by technological obsolescence and the economic blockade of the United States against Cuba.
