59 years have passed and the armed institution has the support of the people

This Saturday, June 6, the fighters of the Ministry of the Interior (MININT) deserve much applause that gratifies the effort, dedication and responsibility that they play 24 hours a day, since 1961 when the institution was created.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- From that moment, thousands of people, including some with non-visible faces, watch over tranquility, citizen security, and the internal order, one of the greatest achievements of the Cuban Revolution.

In the times of the Covid-19, they remain on our streets demanding compliance with protection measures and facing the social indiscipline and illicit economic activities of those who seek to profit from the pocket of the workers.

Before the outbreak of the new coronavirus, they were behind every little one who played in a park, the elderly who walked slowly or the young couple who fell in love in the moonlight, because they were and are hands, eyes, the soul and heart of men and women who appreciate the joy of living safely.

Today, tomorrow and always we count on them because in the MININT, Cuba has its roots, its trunk and branches, especially in State Security and internal stability. Over the years, experiences and skills grew, values were reinforced, there was more commitment and also, from the academy, knowledge came.

Currently, there are many members of that force, some anonymous to take care of us more; and the majority visible to the eyes of Cubans, in immigration, customs and identity procedures; in prisons, attention to minors, in the streets to control traffic and in dissimilar daily actions.

59 years have passed and the armed institution has the support of the people and has in the new generations the guarantee of the future, which began with the landing of the Granma yacht and which has taken the lives of many heroes to enjoy peace, independence and sovereignty.
