The strategy is to supply different units each month so that distribution is equitable

In the current epidemiological panorama, which places social isolation as the only prevention against the danger of contracting COVID-19, queues continue to be the source of the most frequent indisciplines.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- To help eradicate these violations, the released products that were previously sold in the Ideal markets are now also approaching the popular councils.

Nodelcio Rodríguez Ortiz, acting director of Commerce of the Business Group of Commerce in Las Tunas, assured 26Digital that in the month of May around 157 tons of peas have been sold in the network of regular stores and with the price corresponding to that of the released sale.
The manager pointed out that also 47.9 tons of cornflour, 49.8 of raw sugar, 47 of refined sugar and around 51.2 of fine salt, are for sale at certain points in the eight municipalities.

"The strategy is to supply different units each month so that distribution is equitable and food reaches different popular councils. We prioritize the areas where there is a greater quantity of population and, therefore, greater demand,” said Nodelcio.

The Business Group of Commerce persists in the challenges of directing food towards the stores and creating more and more alternatives that reinforce the basic basket.
