Young Club against COVID-19

The Young Computer and Electronics Club and the Telecommunications Company of Cuba (S.A.) are moving more and more towards digital spaces, in order to avoid crowding to stop the spread of the new coronavirus.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- Since last week the Young Club notified the temporary closure of its facilities. Only "wireless access services to TinoRed, a Young Club network that has our products in its contents and which more than 18 thousand users access from their homes, will remain," he said.

For its part, the Territorial Division of ETECSA in Las Tunas reported changes in the hours of its commercial offices. These units attend now to the public between 9:00 in the morning and 12:30 in the afternoon; except for the Telepunto of the capital city, the mini-service point next to the Ernesto Guevara hospital, the company office and the multi-service center of Puerto Padre, which will remain open until 2:00 in the afternoon. In the case of Puerto Padre, they clarified, from 12:30 to 2:00 in the afternoon they will only receive telecommunication agents.

Both entities have suggested to their clients and users the use of their respective digital spaces and others that remotely allow them to continue enjoying their services.

Since April 8, Cuba entered the limited autochthonous transmission phase of the SARS-CoV-2, for which the Government authorities increased the social distancing measures. Consequently, the paralysis of urban transport has occurred, more work activities that are not essential ceased, and rigor in confronting illegalities and behaviors that in the midst of the pandemic put people's lives at risk.
