In the Guillermo Domínguez hospital in Puerto Padre, conditions for care and treatment of the COVID-19 positive cases of inhabitants of the province that until now have been assumed by a healthcare unit in Holguín.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- Such responsibility implies a great preparation of the personnel of that institution and the adoption of various tasks of conditioning the premises and equipment; in addition to reorder the usual service of the hospital in the Romárico Oro polyclinic and the provincial capital.

The complex issue was the subject of analysis Monday at the Provincial Defense Council on Monday, in which they reviewed the process of preparing premises as isolation centers in order to reach some two thousand capacities, in case the situation of the epidemic worsens.

The implementation in the city of Las Tunas of the initiative that began in the municipality of Jesús Menéndez, consisting of the sale of chicken and oil in the currency store network through the ration card, assigning regular stores for the sale of the basic basket to specific establishments belonging to Tiendas Caribe and Cimex S.A., was evaluated as satisfactory.

This does not violate any regulations of the mentioned corporations since they continue operating as always. Only the number of each ration card is registered. This concept avoids crowds, improves the distribution and strikes collectors hoarders and resellers hard.

Regarding transportation, they clarified that all trips to and from the southern municipalities of Colombia and Amancio must be made through Jobabo, since the border with Guáimaro, Camagüey, is closed.
