No inhabitant of the province will be left out of the distribution

Las Tunas provides for the sale of some released products in the retail warehouses' network and through the ration card, in accordance with the measures adopted by the country and with the purpose of guaranteeing a better distribution of resources and access to these by the population.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- This was stated by Nelson Tejeda Téllez, coordinator of the Distribution Program in the province, during his participation in the Alto y Claro radio program, in which he specified that here 536 thousand 862 consumers, registered in more than 188 thousand family nuclei receive, under normal conditions, the inputs through this system.

"We follow a set of principles -explained Tejeda Téllez- to organize distribution: the first, to establish the regulated and controlled sale of various basic products that are commercialized normally in a freeway, using the retail network, that is, the warehouses, ideal and industrial markets. The controlled sale will take place in the network of warehouses, will be written down in the ration cards and responds to a per capita per consumer and family nucleus. This sale becomes an acquired right."

The official said that, in the butchers, a pound of chicken per person, at an unsubsidized price and for a cost of 20.00 pesos, will also be sold as it has been sold until now in the ideal markets.

On the other hand, he declared that, in order to better organize and manage the regulated sale of this meat and other inputs in the network of foreign currency collection stores, Cimex, Caracol and Caribe, they have chosen to closely follow the public order in the queues and communicate distribution by the local media, according to existing availability. He referred, in turn, that a tablet must inform citizens of the maximum number of products to be purchased.

He specified that the regulated sale of washing and bath soap, chlorine bleach, toothpaste and liquid detergent began in the municipalities of Puerto Padre and Manatí; which will gradually arrive in all the territories, for which they ensure essential material conditions such as transportation and the training of warehouse workers.

"It must be said that we still do not have all the supplies in the province. We still have to receive bath soap and other assortments, such as detergent and toothpaste, whose distribution will be quarterly. This measure responds to a demand from the people and it's a fair decision."

Tejeda Téllez also commented that the sale, per nucleus, of a kilogram of salt crackers, paniqueques, one kilo of mincemeat or red mortadella, the same amount of croquette dough, fish croquette, two bags of soy yogurt and one of cream cheese, as well as 10 bags of Coral soda, plus a liter and a half of syrup, will begin in the provincial capital and then in the other municipalities.

This initiative responds to the will of the local authorities to deliver high-demand products to the entire population.

Last weekend, he said, the distribution of chicken to the municipalities is was organized, in an amount still insufficient, but that allowed better equity in the distribution of this highly demanded assortment and whose purchase market has distanced itself for the country from the consequent increase in costs and supply restrictions in recent months.

Regarding chlorine, Rolando Rodríguez Rojas, director of the Business Group of Commerce, said that 72 points of sale are enabled in the Balcony of Eastern Cuba, work is being done to extend the sale to all popular councils and to reach, this week, all of the geography and local nuclei.

As for the quality of this disinfectant, he detailed: "Chlorine reaches the province with a concentration of five percent and is prepared according to the norm in each municipality, so that it is dispensed at one percent, as established. We are taking control and checking measures at each point and we have the collaboration of the authorities of Hygiene and Epidemiology. The product should not reach the population with a lower concentration than indicated."

Finally, Rodríguez Rojas stated that the intention is that no inhabitant be left out of the distribution, both for cleaning and food. "Our commitment is to work with quality, respecting each consumer. There is conviction and willingness, even, to extend the hours, comply with the country's guidelines and avoid crowding."
