Las Tunas fights against COVID-19

In Las Tunas, new initiatives appear to stimulate those who participate in the fight to prevent the expansion of the COVID-19, as highlighted in the analyzes of the Provincial Defense Council, headed by its president, Manuel Pérez Gallego.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- They estimated the possibility of extending to all areas the delivery of postcards to those who are in the front line of the fight against the epidemic in the communities; the dissemination in the neighborhoods of the names of its inhabitants that make up the relevant task or take into account the nuclei with members in that mission to prioritize them in sales in their localities.

Other points of view were aimed at reinforcing the marketing and distribution of agricultural products and creating the essential conditions to begin distributing this Friday in the provincial capital the first lines of a module of nine articles for each family nucleus. At the time they called for organizing the sale of potatoes, which will begin this Saturday in the municipalities of Las Tunas and Puerto Padre, and then it will cover the rest of the territory. They will sell three pounds per person.

They urged to strengthen the manufacture of protective masks by the people since the state facilities immersed in that task do not have conditions to reach the estimated one million units for the inhabitants of the province.

They also called to boost attention to the distribution of water to the communities and resolve the situation of illegal leakage that occurs in the Birama pipeline, which brings the liquid to the capital of Jobabo. Special attention was demanded to send water by train to rural residents of the municipalities of Puerto Padre and Manatí.

They continue convening to maintain the hygienic-sanitary measures to avoid the epidemic. They also requested a daily increase in home inquiries, without neglecting the work in the medical offices.
