Those admitted to the isolation centers, established for the confrontation with COVID-19 in the province, have a daily diet, fresh and of optimum quality, thanks to the joint work of the Provincial Delegation of Agriculture, the Collection Company and the peasants.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- According to Pablo Ávila González, general director of the Collection Company in Las Tunas, a shipment program to the territorial capital was organized here from the municipalities that have the main productive poles, “being established that Monday, Wednesday and Friday Puerto Padre, 'Jesús Menéndez' and Jobabo must contribute; Tuesdays and Saturdays, 'Amancio' and 'Colombia'; while Thursdays correspond to Manatí and Majibacoa,” he explained.

He added that "all the units are aware of the active isolation centers, without neglecting the other institutions for social consumption, as they all have a top priority in the supply chain since those admitted and the health staffs need proper nutrition."

Ávila González also mentioned that Frutas Selectas Company also contributes its assortments. "Now that tourism does not have the same demand, due to the measures taken against the new coronavirus, the products also go to these entities and the surplus is transferred to the small squares and markets of large population settlements, either in the capital city or in the rest of the province,” he concluded.
