Anti-COVID-19 mass vaccination

Since the pandemic began last year until the end of September 2021, more than 31 thousand inhabitants of the province of Las Tunas suffered from COVID-19.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- On the way to return to normal life dynamics, the vaccination process that takes place in this eastern Cuban territory, as well as in the rest of the country, counts.

Recent data from the Provincial Public Health Directorate confirm that more than 155,300 people have completed the planned scheme. They are thus in better immunological conditions against the disease.

"Abdala", Soberana 02, and Soberana Plus -all of the national production- join the Sinopharm vaccine, of Chinese invoice, for the different immunization cycles here.

The joint efforts of the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) and other organizations and groups focused on these actions have contributed to the protection of pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, young students, children and young people between 2 and 18 years of age, health sector workers and their personnel support, vulnerable groups such as kidney patients and, more recently, thimerosal-allergic patients, and convalescents with more than two months of suffering from the disease.

The vaccination also takes place in the other seven municipalities, where the completion of the schemes urges, one of the steps of the strategy to stop the transmission of the new SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

Time is not wasted in the province; well-organized and as soon as possible, each immunization schedule is completed,  which translates into health, life, and hope.
