Several cultural and recreational options focus today the activities in Cuba for the closing of this summer, which prioritize initiatives in communities and territories across the country, the Ministry of Culture reported.
Havana, Cuba.- The main course of the actions take place in the capital’s community of “El Canal”, in the municipality of Cerro, with the participation of renowned artists and writers, the talent of the amateur movement, students of artistic education, and representatives of local socio-cultural projects.
The Galicia Park, in that locality, is one of the venues where the varied proposals of cultural institutions will converge, with a program that starts in the morning with the parade of the comparsa El Alacrán, workshops for children, and the presence of the children’s theater group La Colmenita.
Throughout the day, there are book presentations, poetry readings, circus performances, exhibitions, cartoonists, and students who will demonstrate their talents in dance, plastic arts, and music.
At 7:00 p.m. local time, the dance music is planned to begin with the Orquesta Adalberto Álvarez y su Son, which will be preceded by the presentation of comedians and the Revolution dance company, directed by Roclan González. (PL)
