Under the theme “Create your Happiness,” the 12th Congress of the UJC will celebrate the 62nd anniversary of the organization.

Members of the Cuban Young Communist League (UJC, in Spanish) are analyzing on Tuesday the actions for implementing the Comprehensive Policy for Children, Adolescents, and Youth, as an activity before the 12th Congress of the organization.

Havana, Cuba.- According to the program, the delegates and guests of the Congress will also pay tribute and lay a wreath to student leader Julio Antonio Mella at the University of Havana.

The Comprehensive Policy for Children, Adolescents, and Youth seeks to articulate all factors involved in caring for and protecting these groups.

The National People’s Power Assembly adopted in 2023 that the program mainstreams their rights and conceives these age groups as strategic leaders to develop the nation.

According to UJC’s First Secretary, Aylín Álvarez, the 12th Congress of the organization will discuss the Cuban youth’s responsibility in the present and future of the new generations, the organization itself, the Revolution, and socialism.

Around 400 delegates and 100 guests, who reflect Cuba and express the most significant changes the nation is undergoing, will attend the Congress, which will officially begin on Wednesday.

Under the theme “Create your Happiness,” the 12th Congress of the UJC will celebrate the 62nd anniversary of the organization, which was founded by the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro. (PL)
