Raúl Castro, leader of the Cuban Revolution, presided over the central act for the island's National Rebelliousness Day, held in Ciego de Ávila province on Saturday.

Havana, Cuba.- About 10,000 people were present at the Máximo Gomez Square for the commemoration, also led by President Miguel Díaz-Canel.

Commander of the Revolution Ramiro Valdés Menénndez, Rebel Army Commander José Ramón Machado Ventura, and other party and government leaders also participated.

Citizens from 23 nations, members of solidarity groups with Cuba, also attended the event commemorating the 72nd anniversary of the attacks on the Moncada Garrison, in Santiago de Cuba, and the Carlos Manuel de Céspedes Garrison, in Bayamo. (PL)
