Cuba's Supreme People's Court (TSP)The Supreme People's Court (TSP) delivered on Monday the draft laws on Military Courts and the Military Criminal Process to the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba (Parliament).

Havana, Cuba.- In a ceremony held in this capital, the president of the TSP, Rubén Remigio Ferro, handed the documents to Esteban Lazo, head of the Cuban parliament.

According to the website of the Assembly, the head of Parliament signified the importance of this fact, in compliance with the provisions of the current Constitution of the Republic and the legislative schedule.

Subsequently, the process of analysis and discussion of these legal norms by the deputies will begin, before their presentation to the National Assembly in its next session.

Both preliminary projects will be published on the digital sites of Parliament and the TSP, to promote citizen participation.

The Governing Council of the Supreme People’s Court exercised the legislative initiative in correspondence with the provisions of Article 164 of the Magna Carta in force. (PL)
