Díaz-Canel receives ALBA's Executive Secretary Sacha LlorentiCuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez received the executive secretary of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-People's Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP), comrade Sacha Llorenti Soliz, who is making an official visit to the Caribbean island.

Havana, Cuba.- During the fraternal meeting, the Cuban leader ratified Cuba's willingness to support the progress and development of the Alliance and defend unity in the face of attempts at external interference.

During the exchange, they reviewed the achievements of this mechanism of political coordination and the actions planned for the period. They also discussed other issues on the international agenda.

The Executive Secretary thanked Cuba for its contribution to ALBA-TCP, particularly its management, and ratified its rejection of the U.S. blockade against our country.

The distinguished visitor was accompanied by Wendy Viteri Paredes and Edith Peraza Cáceres, officials of the ALBA-TCP Executive Secretariat.

The Cuban side was represented by the member of the Political Bureau and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, the Vice Minister of MINREX, Josefina Vidal Ferreiro, and the Director of South America of MINREX, Carlos de Céspedes. (RHC)
