The U.S. government is hindering the legal processes for entry into the country and encouraging irregular migration, a fact denounced by Cuba in all scenarios.

Havana, Cuba.- Some 104 Cubans, including a minor, arrived on the island by air from Mexico on Friday.

After leaving the national territory legally, they ventured into the unsafe journey through third countries.

The group was detained by Mexican immigration authorities and returned to Cuba in compliance with immigration agreements between both nations.

Upon their arrival at José Martí International Airport, they received medical assistance, health protocols were applied, and they were subjected to ordinary migratory controls before being transferred to their provinces of origin.

According to official sources, this is the 30th operation to be carried out; as a result, 1,370 people have been returned to Cuba.

The flight also carried the remains of a 37-year-old woman and two teenagers, 12 and 19 years old respectively, who were killed in a traffic accident in the city of Veracruz in the middle of this month.

U.S. immigration policy towards Cuba encourages illegal and irregular flows. In an inhumane manner, immigrants are subjected to human trafficking, run multiple risks, and as a common practice, receive discriminatory treatment that has as its background Washington's desire to destabilize Cuba. (RHC)
