Nicolas Sureau, operational director of Water and Environment of the organization. The French construction group Eiffage, one of the most important in the country and Europe, reiterated its interest in participating in projects in Cuba, particularly in water and sanitation works.

Paris.- Speaking to Prensa Latina, the operational director of Water and Environment of the organization, Nicolas Sureau, commented that Eiffage has had links with the National Institute of Hydraulic Resources (INRH) for the past five years, which it hopes to expand.

We have a very technical relationship with the INRH, expressed in cooperation on water treatment and transfer issues, but not in joint work, based on support for the design of works,” he said.

According to Sureau, in the last five years the construction group, whose roots go back to 19th and 20th-century societies, including the one founded in 1866 by the famous Gustave Eiffel, carried out missions in Cuba and received specialists from the Caribbean island.

Physical technical exchanges were interrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic and moved to modalities such as video conferences, but we are ready to resume them soon, he commented.

In this regard, he announced an upcoming visit to Cuba and mentioned the expectation of being part of a project that INRH will submit for bidding. (PL)
