Major General Luis Alberto Rodríguez López-Calleja died today in Cuba, an official statement said.

Havana, Cuba.- The death of the executive president of the Business Administration Group of the Revolutionary Armed Forces (GAESA) took place in the early hours of Friday morning, as a result of a cardiorespiratory arrest.

General Luis Alberto, a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and deputy to the National Assembly of the People's Power, had a brilliant record of service to the Homeland and the Cuban Revolution, the statement said. (RHC)
