Cuban municipal elections convened for November 27The Council of State, in accordance with provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of Cuba and the Electoral Law of 2019, agreed today to call for municipal elections.

Havana, Cuba.- According to a note published on the website of the National Assembly of People’s Power (parliament), the elections to name delegates to the municipal assemblies of People’s Power for a term of five years will be held on November 27 in the first round.

Likewise, it specified that on December 4, a second round will be held in those constituencies in which none of the candidates obtains more than fifty percent of the valid votes cast.

The National Electoral Council, once the elections are over, will report their results. (PL)
