Young people from Las Tunas celebrates Fidel Castro's 97th birthday anniversary.

Young people in the province of Las Tunas are currently paying tribute to the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, on the 97th anniversary of the birth of the man who is a guide and example for the new generations of Cubans.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- As a sign of respect for our heroes and martyrs, on August 11, representatives of the José Martí Youth Movement (MJM by its Spanish acronym) will visit the Buena Vista Home for the Grandparents, and in La Herradura Beach another group will carry out a sanitation action inspired by the man who was a defender of the human species and the preservation of its natural living conditions.

A day later, a representation of the youngest will climb the Cerro de Caisimú and in the municipality of Jobabo, productive work will mobilize the will and the hands of those who are committed to continuing a work that is still unfinished and in permanent search of social welfare.

Likewise, to coincide with International Youth Day, also on Saturday, the "José Martí" Art Instructors Brigade will activate the Cultural Guerrilla; on the other hand, the University Student Federation (FEU in Spanish) will camp on the premises of the Cuban Higher Education campus where the new batch of professionals is being trained.

In the same way, with the premise "Cuba, my country," the Pioneers Organization is organizing a festival of the same name in squares and parks, an ideal space for playing games, tying kites, and promoting the movements typical of this structure in Special, Primary, and Basic Secondary schools.

In a synergy of feelings and emotions, the Plaza Martiana will host on the 12th a political and cultural gala in homage to the youth and to those who maintained among their attributes an ideal and a renovating practice all their lives, honors that will be lavished, with heartfelt essence and just on the date of the Commander in Chief birthday, in the community of San José, by the work and virtue of the José Martí Youth Movement.

During these days and in different ways, the thought and actions of Fidel, an eternal rebel for whom "youth is the raw material of the great future of the homeland," will be remembered in Las Tunas.
