A formal call will be issued on August 13 to commemorate the centenary of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel announced today that on August 13, a formal call will be issued to commemorate the centenary of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro, not only to reflect on his legacy but to bring it into the present day.

Activists of several solidarity projects will attend the activity.

Almost 500 friends from 23 countries, including the United States, have confirmed their attendance at the act of solidarity with Cuba, which will be held at the Giraldo Córdova Cardín sports center in Ciego de Ávila, on the morning of July 25.

Díaz-Canel reviewed operations at Coracan S.A., a Canadian-collaborated instant food production company.

Miguel Díaz-Canel, First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and President of the Republic, conducted an inspection tour of key economic facilities in Havana today, marking the start of his second round of regional visits.
