Epic Fragments collective photo exhibition

In the collective exhibition Fragmentos Épicos (Epic Fragments), we will not find photos with protocol and rigid poses but heroes in everyday, natural, and emotional scenes, where the human values of their protagonists and the creativity of the authors to capture unique moments can be glimpsed.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- The traveling exhibition of the National Council of Plastic Arts is on display at the Rita Longa workshop gallery in this city and consists of about 40 photographs that become an embrace of history, from the approach to personalities such as Fidel, Raúl, Ernesto Guevara, and others.

We see Che leaning against a tree, with a radiant smile. The Commander-in-Chief in an embrace in the middle of a diplomatic event. Demystified figures enjoying a cigar, surrounded by children, walking without the apparent stress of the libertarian war, drinking water in the middle of a reed bed, or lying down to rest for a while in a hammock. These snapshots transmit emotions, reveal characters, and show states of mind, through general shots, details, close up...

Prestigious artists gave life to the works enjoyed today by the spectators, names such as those of Raúl Corrales Fornos, Eduardo Ponjuán González, and others known as Alberto Díaz Gutiérrez (Korda), and Roberto Chile Pérez.

Dedicated to the birthdays of Antonio Maceo, the Heroic Guerrilla, and Rita Longa, as well as to the anniversary of the Palabras a los Intelectuales speech, and the founding of the Rita Longa workshop gallery, the exhibition, open to the public in the workshop gallery, not only conveys the heroism of its protagonists, which is already a lot but also the most spontaneous facets of some of the most valuable sons of the Homeland.
