Despite the necessary confinement due to the COVID-19, the members of the Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS), the young artistic vanguard in Cuba, remain active in their homes, cultivating each artistic expression and sharing various materials on the Internet.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- The affiliates also join the wave of cultural initiatives with the promotion of audiovisual capsules of different creators, with which they pursue - according to Ana Irma Pérez Perelló, president of that organization in the province- take advantage of the time for improvement, the dissemination of the work of the membership and transmit a message of encouragement to the population in these difficult days.

"On social media, writers such as Irisandra Figueredo, Raúl Leyva, Alexander Jiménez del Toro and Saimy K. Torres share texts of their authorship and bring us closer to the essences of awards such as Pinos Nuevos (won by Alexander) and books such as Sepia, by Saimy, and The Tree of the Winds, by Raulito.

“We have made videos for almost all musicians, including Jesús Ricardo Pérez Cecilia, Adrián Vega (D'Mente), Carlos Dragoní, Amaury del Río, Daniel Velázquez (El Gato), in addition to the Controvando project, which brings together several troubadours, explained Ana Irma.

Facebook and YouTube are the two platforms used for those purposes. Some of the proposals were in fact recently socialized within the framework of the Romerías de Mayo event, held online due to the circumstances.

"Now we have to study at home, come up with ideas to enhance the work of the guild and participate in the materialization of each new action," said singer-songwriter Amaury del Río, who reportedly prepares to participate in the El Reino de Este Mundo creation scholarship, with the aim of burning a CD.

The Art. Tatoo event, the Entre Música Festival, the Pupila Archivada and other events sponsored by the Young Creator House of Las Tunas are also taken to short audiovisuals, which become cultural windows in times of pandemic.
