The Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) in Las Tunas has carried out the assemblies by branches, which concludes this Monday, to seek new strategies so that creation expands its channels with the participation of institutions and organizations that must accompany them in the territory.

Assembly of the visual arts branch of the UNEAC in Las TunasLas Tunas, Cuba.- The process was initiated by the writers, who delivered the 60 Aniversario de la UNEAC Seal to Maritza Batista Batista, and the Nicolás Guillén Seal to Lesbia de la Fe Dotres, who were unable to receive the decorations on August 22nd, within the framework of the celebrations for the organization's birthday.

The authors raised the urgency of instituting a poetry contest of national scope and recovering that of love stories and erotic novels, besides more personalized promotion that takes into account the different audiences and the re-establishment of the Historian Office with the appointment of a person qualified to hold that position.

The spaces for the performing arts, tools, the need to discriminate and recognize what is truly valid and transcendent, and the role of the National School of Clown to develop a movement of this specialty with a well-gained prestige, were some of the threads in the debate around that artistic expression.

They also call for thinking about collective work, without being limited to individual pieces; referring the youngest to the work of the founding masters, to promote continuity between various generations; strengthening the link with the communities, and programming in agreement with all the involved parties, taking into account the necessary resources for each function.

For media professionals -cinema, radio, and television-, it is vital to promote spaces for specialized criticism that allows communicative products to be prioritized in terms of quality and the education of audiences for their consumption.
