The Graphic Productions base business unit (UEB by its acronym in Spanish) SOYGRAF Las Tunas has so far delivered more than two million 225 thousand notebooks to the various levels of general education and university centers throughout the country, which guarantees the start of the new school year in the province and the continuation of the teaching stage in the others.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- Michel Ramayo González, head of production and sales, explained to the Cuban News Agency that production was achieved on time, thanks to the availability of indispensable raw materials and human capital, a reality that today allows the manufacture of some 18,000 units daily.

The notebooks, which are destined for the Provincial Education Insurance and Service Companies, not only reach Las Tunas' municipalities but also form part of the material basis for study thousands of kilometers away from Cuba's Eastern Balcony, such as Pinar del Río, where around 175,000 units were distributed.

We maintain the same format as in previous years, with a standard design of 96 lined pages and poster board covers; we have ensured in the first instance, the distribution to schools in Las Tunas, as it is the only city that will start the new educational calendar in September, said Ramayo González.

The director said that they are still working on the production and marketing of a larger percentage, as they are awaiting other national orders and are also working on obtaining academic supplies for subsequent sale in different scenarios, with attractive designs and styles.

The UEB also reuses the offcuts from the production process to make small-format materials, such as bulletins for the National Bus Company and other varieties of articles that enable the social purpose to be strengthened through the incentive of the circular economy.
