The province of Las Tunas will host the National Act for the Blood Donor Day on June 14. This was announced by the top leaders of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR) in the country, distinguishing this territory as a National Vanguard in such a sensitive program.

Las Tunas, Cuba.-Maura Rodríguez, the coordinator of the organization here, spoke on the local Radio about the joy and enthusiasm of the membership. At the same time, she announced that the municipality of "Amancio" is the Provincial Vanguard and Majibacoa, Las Tunas and Puerto Padre have the status of Outstanding.

The day in greeting to the blood donor on the Island began on Saturday and will run to the 14th. Las Tunas stands out for its sustained and comprehensive work, with a plan of around 1,500 monthly donations and reaches around 18,000 during the whole year.

In this calendar, marked by the exceptional presence of the SARS-CoV-2, the celebrations include the necessary prevention protocols and will have their main stages in the Defense and Health areas in each municipality. In these spaces, where the actions of CDRs are held, women and men from the people are protagonists in the fulfillment of the task.
