GESIME industries launched their development strategies in Las Tunas

Recently, and as part of the celebrations for the tenth anniversary of the Business Group of the Iron and Steel Industry (GESIME), the directors of the most important companies in this sector in Las Tunas released their development strategies until 2030.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- The presentations by Heraldo González Arias, director-general of ACINOX Las Tunas, and his counterpart Julio César Tamayo Rodríguez, at the head of the "Paco Cabrera", of Metal Structures (METUNAS) were considered as masterful.

Both dissertations were excellent academic exercises in business management, which allowed the sharing of the best experiences to continue consolidating the socialist state enterprise.

In the particular case of ACINOX, González Arias ratified the commitment to produce here the best steel on the Island. Although this year the furnaces have barely heated up due to the energy crisis, the industry is looking for alternatives, through the circular economy, with which it has contributed to the development of the territory and achieved income with high-value-added products.

For its part, METUNAS is establishing at the national level, fulfilling a strategy aligned with the National Plan for the Economic and Social Development of the country, and based on the Basic Industry gaps in terms of satisfying the demand for structures.

The so-called "Factory of Factories", with a comprehensive production process that includes design, manufacturing, and technical assistance, aims to position itself in the international market sustainably and safely.

Tamayo Rodríguez defended the projection through prospective tools that allow defining and envisioning the scenarios in which the company will perform, thus reducing the possibility of errors in the future.
