The 4th International Scientific Convention organized by the University of Las Tunas hosted the Forum for Academic, Economic, and Business Debate, which was attended by students, professors, and about twenty state and private entities.

Forum for Academic, Economic, and Business DebateLas Tunas, Cuba.- With the dissertation of Dr. in Sciences Albernis Poulot Cumbá began the meeting, where the pedagogue presented the strategy of the Faculty of Economic Sciences -which he directs- to make the Knowledge Economy an engine for the development of this unit, the University, and society, in general.

He stressed the importance of businessmen becoming aware that the academy provides the necessary knowledge to promote improvements in any area of society.

In this scenario, businessmen from different spheres exchanged their ties with the institution of Cuban Higher Education and how much more can be done to benefit a relationship that is a priority of the State and the Government.

Forum for Academic, Economic, and Business DebateIn this regard, science doctor Yithsell Santiesteban Almaguer, the vice president of the Organizing Committee, highlighted the links, for example, with the Stainless Steel Company (ACINOX Las Tunas), headquarters of the Integrated Sciences Workshop, an extension of the event on the Pepito Tey campus.

Meanwhile, Eraldo González, the director-general of ACINOX, highlighted the benefits of being one of the leading entities of nearly fifty framework agreements with entities, organizations, and institutions in the province.

On the 28th anniversary of its founding, from events such as the International Scientific Convention and its Expo Fair, the University of Las Tunas is committed to a quantitative and qualitative advance in its alliances with other institutions.
