The incorporation into the employment of 1,235 young people in vulnerable communities is one of the main impacts in the attention to economically and socially disadvantaged people and families.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- Due to the work carried out by the administration councils in the eight municipalities of the province of Las Tunas, 795 families have already ceased to be protected due to their vulnerability, as a consequence of the delivery of resources and the job placement of some of their members, at the same time that courses have materialized for 1,488 young people who have left school.

In addition, 48 childcare centers have been set up for unemployed mothers, and refrigerators, blenders, televisions, clothes and shoes, towels and sheets, dining room sets, beds, mattresses, and kitchen utensils have been delivered to vulnerable groups.

The social assistance program in the province protects 8,644 families, of which 8,432 have received temporary monetary benefits, with 12,200 people benefited, including the elderly, the disabled, mothers with up to three children under 12 years of age, and young people who have dropped out of school for their incorporation, and as support for the acquisition of the basic food basket.

In addition, the services of grandparents' homes and homes for the elderly are subsidized, and food is guaranteed to 895 senior citizens through the Family Care Service.

In 2022 alone for the program of care for vulnerable people, the province allocated a budget of 282 million pesos, of which 63 million were earmarked for the delivery of resources.

However, of the 279 million pesos budgeted for the current 2023, only seven percent had been executed in the first quarter of the year, a situation that requires an in-depth analysis of each Administration Council of the eight municipalities of the province.
