Stand of Las Tunas at ExpoCaribe 2023

The second most important fair in Cuba after that of Havana is ExpoCaribe, dedicated on this occasion to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the assault on the Moncada barracks, the 60th anniversary of the Cuban Chamber of Commerce, and the half-century of relations with the Caribbean Community (CARICOM).

Las Tunas, Cuba.- Five companies from Las Tunas participate in the commercial stock market, one of them from the non-state sector. These make up the stand of the province in the 17th edition of the International Fair, which began on Wednesday in Santiago de Cuba.

Salvador Sariol Vistorte, the director of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, reported that "the Provincial Integral Company of the Food Industry, the Tecnoazúcar base business unit (UEB), the small company Cepwar, PESCATUN and the Integral Agricultural (AGROINT) participate in the event. Other entities are also represented through their superior business management organizations (OSDE), including ACINOX Las Tunas, LUDEMA Furniture, and the Metal Structures Company (METUNAS).

PESCATUN and the Food Industry have the objective of finalizing the signing of important foreign investment agreements; in the case of the latter, it would be the first of its kind in the country.

Cepwar, a private entity dedicated to the manufacture of locksmith elements, including safes, shows what it has developed from its founding by a self-employed worker to becoming a company. It is currently the only one of its kind dedicated to producing and marketing safes in Cuba.

Since its accreditation at the 2022 Havana International Fair, the AGROINT project became the only one authorized to export goods and services in Las Tunas province, backed by the realization of important sales abroad. This is an influential space for displaying its products.

The UEB Tecnoazúcar -meanwhile- stands out for the production of local rums manufactured in the "Amancio" distillery, headed by the world-renowned Conde de Cuba.
