The Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) in Las Tunas approved Karen González Velázquez, by promotion, as a member of its Executive Bureau to serve as head of the Political-Ideological sphere, replacing Williams Ramírez Pérez, who was released due to renewal.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- González Velázquez held the responsibility of the first secretary of the political organization in the municipality of Las Tunas for more than three years, where his discipline and consecration were recognized, besides his constant work for the sake of local socio-economic development.

Williams Ramírez will be assigned other responsibilities of an administrative nature, as reported in Plenary, in which he was distinguished for fulfilling his responsibilities with dignity for 23 years as a leader in the Young Communist League (UJC) and the PCC.

Other moves were made known at the meeting. The Municipal PCC Committee in Las Tunas appointed Roberto Carlos López Saborit as its first secretary, who held the same responsibility in the municipality of Colombia.

Meanwhile, the highest political body of that southern territory approved the proposal of Yandry Otaño Guerra as its first secretary, who has an upward trajectory in political and administrative functions.
