The LUDEMA Furniture base business unit (UEB, by its Spanish acronym) is seeking to consolidate commercial requests from European markets through online sales to countries such as Spain, which has already shown considerable interest in the production of the entity, which belongs to the DUJO Cuban Furniture Industry.
Dailié Sarría Cherry, head of the Engineering and Development group, told the Cuban News Agency that the first steps have already been taken in exporting furniture to customers in the old continent, and they intend to reach the Dominican Republic and other nations in the Caribbean region.
We have developed a training process with a Spanish group for trade abroad with prototypes created in LUDEMA, which are backed by decades of work of a staff that seeks to establish itself in the preference of its customers, said the directive.
The industry, during the second period of 2023 and until the next calendar, will be immersed in providing the furniture for six high-standard hotels in the Cuban capital: the Metrópolis, the Corona, H1 and H2, the First and B hotel, and the 23 and K, the latter, the highest in Cuba.
"The first six months were favorable in the main efficiency indicators concerning sales, added values, and profits, which today are reverted in benefits for its workers and the industry in general, with considerable improvements in the management of work and the systems of attention to human resources; details that also position us for quality and comfort in the preference of Cubans and foreigners," expressed Sarría Cherry.
Among the priorities that Ludema maintains as a task of direct impact on the population in Las Tunas is the creation of a specialized shop within the historic center for the acquisition of articles for the decoration of various spaces such as homes, offices, bars, and restaurants, depending on the interests.
LUDEMA was recognized as an outstanding organization by the management of the DUJO Cuban Furniture Industry, together with three other UEBs at the national level, for the exquisiteness and comfort of its products for tourism, sales to the population, and new export dynamics.
