Roads in the province of Las Tunas, very deteriorated over time, are beginning to attract the attention of the locals by the application of asphalt in some of the stretches with the highest vehicle traffic.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- The beginning of street repairs in the municipalities, mainly in the provincial capital, is due to the recovery of an obsolete cold asphalt production plant, which had not been working for 20 years.

The Provincial Maintenance and Construction Company has been in charge of the execution of the work since last August, when 1,150 tons were produced, a figure that should be substantially increased in the current September, despite the deficit of fuel and other resources.

According to the local Radio, to comply with the forecasts for the ninth month of the year and subsequent periods, it is coordinated with the Administration councils in the municipalities, to rescue the budget which was destined for this activity.

The action began to give an answer to the population, which was clamoring for the restoration of extremely complicated stretches and potholes in the urban areas of the territory.
