Manatí deserved the main act for the FMC 65th anniversary in Las Tunas.

Las Tunas women pledged to continue transforming communities and leaving a tangible mark on every sphere of society during the Provincial Ceremony for the 65th anniversary of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC).

Manatí, Las Tunas.- Naurys Smith Jiménez, secretary general of the organization in the Las Tunas northernmost municipality, assured the press that Manatí deserved the venue for having achieved the outstanding condition in the provincial emulation. The decision highlighted its grassroots leadership, connection with new generations, and efforts in social prevention within the communities.

Smith Jiménez emphasized that the FMC members in Manatí are proud to celebrate their achievements during this period, particularly their recognition at the national level for the successful functioning of the Women and Family Guidance Center, which has revitalized their presence in the neighborhoods.

During the event, at the request of the FMC national secretariat, the 65th Anniversary Seal was awarded for the first time to institutions, organizations, and individuals who have played significant roles in supporting women's challenges in the province.

Motivated by the commitment of FMC militants, municipalities and districts with positive outcomes were acknowledged, and new members were welcomed into the women’s organization.

The province's highest authorities, led by Osbel Lorenzo, first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) in the province, solemnly recognized the FMC's actions, its constant support in every goal or challenge posed by the country's current circumstances, as well as its strength in transforming neighborhoods, blocks, communities, and territories, with the hallmark of Cuban women.
