The Consumers Registry Office in the province of Las Tunas (OFICODA) carries out an ordering process to update the lists of clients and report that those who leave the country for more than 90 days are removed from the supply card, either those that go to internationalist mission, jobs, studies and personal affairs, with a residence permit abroad or on a permanent basis.
Las Tunas, Cuba.- Marilín Jomarrón Miranda, director of State Commerce, assured 26 that this provision has always been reflected in the card itself, on the back, but it is not until now that it is applied with total rigor.
"Domestic Trade in our country today works for improvement - Marilín argues - and as it is legislated in Resolution 78 and printed in the card of each family nucleus. We are going to ensure that the duty of the heads of nuclei is fulfilled, which is to keep the figure of customers updated.
“In case the head of the nucleus is not present, another member can go to the offices to manage temporary or permanent disability. It is necessary to clarify that once the traveling people return; they can immediately go to the same offices to register again.”
This measure, which is already applied in the province, aims to update the real amount of consumers, so that in the difficult situation in which the Cuban economy is, more equitable distribution of food is made.
Las Tunas received a list of 10,800 people to purify and all the municipalities have carried out this process except the capital territory, where there are still about 3,200 inhabitants pending to be removed.
Other services of the Registry offices, such as medical diets, continue to be vital, although at the moment the staff is mainly focused on updating the lists.
