The Manatí radio station, La Voz del Faro, will implement strategies to optimize the productive routines of its reporters; methodological tools assimilated in the Diploma of Reorientation to Journalism, which will allow exploiting the resources of the local media by approaching the life stories of the locals, their expectations and concerns.

Manatí, Las Tunas.- Julio César Mateo, director of the station, pointed out that the Diploma, due to the quality of the subjects and the sharpness of the teachers, gave him greater sensitivity to create an objective work system, focused on the potentialities of professionals in the environment and also taking into account the limited technical and material resources.

During the academic exercise, Mateo presented several methodological considerations to better plan journalistic work and programming in general. He decided to strengthen the coordination meeting in such a way as to guarantee communication between journalists, radio broadcasters, and managers.

He delved into the importance of the media not only responding to the demands of the highest authorities in the territory, but also the concerns of the Manatí’s people.

Aliuska Barrios Leyva, director of the provincial radio system, said that this Diploma will contribute to raising the quality of radio programming. She emphasized that the essential objectives have been met, aimed at ensuring that those who practice the profession are nurtured by the essential tools to make more objective journalism.

La Voz del Faro radio station receives five professionals reoriented to Journalism, two cadres and three reporters, who will take on their daily tasks with new tools to draw the reality of Manatí with the appeal of radio language and the desire to show stories from simplicity and authenticity.
