The Cuban Civil Defense established the alarm phase for the province of Las Tunas, along with Guantánamo, Santiago de Cuba, Granma, Holguín, Camagüey, and Ciego de Ávila given the imminent impact of Tropical Storm Elsa within a period of up to 24 hours.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- Sancti Spíritus, Cienfuegos, Villa Clara, and Matanzas were declared in the alert phase.

Mayabeque and Havana remain in the information phase, while Pinar del Río, Artemisa, and the special municipality of Isla de la Juventud (Isle of Youth) should be attentive to the evolution of the cyclonic organism.

The population is advised to remain informed and to comply with the instructions given by the Civil Defense and local authorities.
