Consumer Registry Office adapts services and schedules

In the midst of the epidemiological situation that the province is currently experiencing and its complexity in recent weeks, the Consumers Registry Office (OFICODA) has adopted strategies to contribute to coping with the pandemic and guarantee citizen security in its establishments.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- In keeping with the current stage of community autochthonous transmission, the procedures for consumers transferring from a store to another have been suspended. Once the epidemiological situation has been overcome, this service will be resumed. The process of categorizing the gastronomy units in the process of improvement is also inactivated.

The OFICODA authorities point out that registration due to birth is maintained; as well as deregisters due to death and departure from the country; in this last issue, they recognize the cooperation of the population and request the same support to maintain this process with transparency and attached to reality.

With extreme compliance with health protocols, they maintain the granting of medical diets, to protect vulnerable people. In the establishments, hand and footwear disinfection, physical distancing, and the use of the facemask are required; the working hours are from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon.
