New project to improve the Mexico neighborhood

As part of the transformations that take place in the neighborhoods, and in greeting to the new anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution, the tasks are advanced in the so-called Mexico neighborhood, specifically at the intersection of the streets Joaquín Agüero and Nicolás Heredia, which are included within a new cultural project aimed at the improvement of the community environment.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- The plastic artist Nóver Olano Escobar, at the head of the initiative, explains that the site, known by the neighbors as Plaza de Los Recuerdos (Memories Plaza), and with a rich history as one of the areas of the Carnival, will count with banks, luminaries, green areas, a platform with a fixed scenery, and a pictorial mural of abstract themes and Caribbean colors.

Plastic artist Nóver Olano Escobar is at the head of the initiative"The proposal is to make a kind of park, but keeping its platform for future cultural activities, and bringing art to the neighborhood. Thus, the inhabitants will enjoy different artistic expressions such as dance, theater, and music. The intention, besides, is that it serves for the recreation of those who live there."

Olano Escobar stressed that they intend to conclude the tasks in the coming weeks, to carry out the provincial act for the triumph of the Revolution, which will serve as recognition of the entire work that has been developed in this community.

"It's a great challenge and we hope to achieve a work with quality and aesthetics because what we are looking for is to improve the place, the most important thing is that the inhabitants of the community feel proud of the final result," he concluded.
