The establishment of some 66 micro, small, or medium private companies (MSMEs) has been authorized in Las Tunas

The small private companies providing gastronomic services are gaining ground among those authorized to be established as such by the Ministry of Economy and Planning (MEP) in the province of Las Tunas.

This is corroborated by the fact that three of the five MSMEs that received consent to establish with full legal personality correspond to this activity, according to the list published on Wednesday. They are Artepropiedades, located in the municipality of Majibacoa; Kiara_Kaila, from the municipality of Las Tunas; as well as Yo Sí Sueno, also located in the provincial capital.

With these, there are already 10 within the gastronomic services, of which nine were approved by the MEP during the current month. Only activities such as food production or processing have a higher number of new economic actors.

It was also learned of the approval of the MEP to the constitution of Hermanos Labrada, a small private company from the municipality of Jobabo that will carry out the sawing and shaving of wood; and “Con D'Licias,” from the municipality of Jesús Menéndez, that will produce and preserve fruits, legumes, and vegetables.

The Ministry of Economy and Planning has authorized, in Las Tunas, the establishment of some 66 micro, small, or medium private companies (MSMEs) and a non-agricultural cooperative, since this process of encouraging new forms of management began on 29 September 2021.

On a national scale, with the approval of the 92 reported on this occasion, there are 2,177, of which 2,999 are private MSMEs, 49 state-owned, and 29 cooperatives. Due to their origin, 57 percent are reconversions of pre-existing businesses and 43 percent correspond to new ventures.
