Martha Rodríguez Martínez, president of the Temporary Commission for the organization of the electoral program, told 26 newspaper that the necessary resources and means are guaranteed, and people who are willing to serve as electoral authorities have already been identified and selected.
They also work on the communications plan, transportation, general logistics assurance and a training and communication strategy to guide the officials involved in the voting and the people, she added.
Rodríguez Martínez explained that the future members of the provincial, municipal and special electoral commissions, the reception and control groups, polling stations, collaborators and supervisors have been trained, while supervisors already carried out control actions.
More than 260 university and middle school students will participate as collaborators this year, who are responsible for ensuring compliance with the legislated for each of the procedures.
The electoral official explained that since June of last year, when provincial temporary work commissions were established, they have carried out an extensive program aimed at organizing, directing and ensuring the development of suffrage, which also includes a study for the modification of the constituencies taking into account the demographic dynamics.
The electoral commissions of the province and those of the eight municipalities will be constituted next week in Las Tunas.
