The Cuban President visited the Arroyón farm.
During his visit to the Arroyón farm, which belongs to the Various Crops basic business unit of the Jesús Menéndez Agroindustrial Company.

This Friday, the first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC in Spanish) and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, returned to Las Tunas, this time to the municipality of Jesús Menéndez. This is the third time so far this year that the Cuban leader has come to the Balcón de Oriente, in January he was in Manatí; and in February he visited several centers and productive units of economic importance in the northern territory of Puerto Padre.

The regulated sale of potatoes is underway in Las Tunas

During this week, three pounds of potatoes per consumer have been distributed in the municipality of Las Tunas, for a price of 11 pesos each, according to Javier Velázquez Morales, the commercial director of the Collection Company.

Fuel shortages have been the main cause of transportation troubles in Las Tunas since the second half of March, and so far in April, only 30 percent of what is necessary to transfer cargo and people has been received.
