Songs and poems broke the calm on Saturday morning in the city of Las Tunas to demand, from the Cultural Plaza, the end of the genocide against the Palestinian people.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- More than 70 years of occupation have been devastating for entire generations, and a bloody war since last October has worsened the reality of entire regions, threatened with extermination and forced to move most brutally.

As part of the event, pioneers defended the right to life and women shouted into the wind the call for respect. Words such as peace, justice, and human rights were woven together to give voice to the desire for a free Palestine.

The day, similar throughout Cuba, ratifies the emancipatory tradition of this country and its rejection of all forms of interference and disrespect for the self-determination of peoples and their cultures.
