After starting the final with a defeat, the Las Tunas team achieved a convincing comeback and, with two victories at home, was proclaimed champion of the Provincial Baseball Series.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- Those from the capital municipality were forceful against a rival who knows what it is to win the crown on a couple of occasions. As a matter of fact, the players from Manatí had taken advantage at their headquarters to win 5-2 on Saturday, so they only needed one victory in the two matches agreed upon for the Ángel López Jiménez Stadium.

However, Las Tunas was demolished at bat early on and prevailed 10-1 and finished off later with a 4-0 shutout that reaffirmed itself as the most baseball-winning team on the Balcón de Oriente (Eastern Cuban Balcony).

After the two finalists, Jobabo's team took third place while "Colombia" finished fourth.

After the break for the end and beginning of the years, Las Tunas baseball players will begin the training stage for the 62nd National Series. Mentor Pablo Alberto Civil is already confirmed once again at the helm of the team.
