Las Tunas Lumberjacks toured "Menéndez" and Puerto Padre municipalities.

The route of the champions of the 62nd Cuban National Baseball Series, the Leñadores de Las Tunas (Lumberjacks), took them to the "Village of the Windmills" on Friday afternoon, after visiting the municipality of Jesús Menéndez in the morning.

Puerto Padre, Las Tunas - Despite the blazing sun, the people of Puerto Padre attended the meeting with the two-time champions in the amphitheater, where the blue colors of the city complemented the red and green of the Lumberjacks.

The main economic actors honored the athletes and symbolic figures of the team, as well as manager Abeysi Pantoja. But the most important gift of the day was the human warmth of the fans who wanted to share it with their players.

Likewise, participatory games encouraged children and adults, with the complicity of the members of the Balcón de Oriente (Eastern Cuban Balcony) baseball team. The maritime horizon was the stage on which the city's inhabitants jumped in search of memory for posterity, through selfies, photos, videos, or simply a hug to those who caused a waste of emotions with their triumph.
