The director of the 59-strong player Cuban baseball preselection to the Americas Baseball Cup, Germán Mesa, said it is the best one we've got to contest that championship, which will gather twelve teams from this region.

Cuba appears in the classification group at the Americas Baseball Cup to be hosted by Venezuela, November 12-17, with the participation of teams from Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and Curacao.

Another venue is Panama, which will host the finals of the championship, featuring the participation of Puerto Rico, Colombia, Canada, Brazil, and Argentina.

The continental meet will grant four tickets to the Central American and Caribbean Games, to take place in Santo Domingo in 2026, and another five tickets for the Pan-Am Games to be hosted by Lima in 2027. (ACN)
