Rolls-Royce Power Systems had a turnover of 3.2 billion euros in 2021

German engine manufacturer Rolls-Royce Power Systems on Monday registered a growing demand for MTU emergency power generators, mainly from Europe.

Berlin.- The company, based in the southern city of Friedrichshafen, said on Monday that it has almost exhausted its availability until late 2023 due to the number of requests.

By the first half of 2022, the Lake Constance-based company had virtually committed its production capacity for next year, a spokesman said.

The diesel generators marketed under the MTU brand are used to power hospitals, data centers, and airports in the event of power outages and are manufactured in Baviera and the United States.

Rolls-Royce Power Systems had a turnover of 3.2 billion euros in 2021, of which approximately one-third came from its power generation business, which includes emergency generator sets. (PL)
