Russian troops repeled Ukrainian attacks in the Zaporizhzhia region

The Russian troops thwarted two attempted attacks by the Ukrainian Army near the Levadne and Pyatikhatki villages in the Zaporizhzhia region, Battlegroup East Spokesman Oleg Chekhov said on Sunday.

Moscow.- “An enemy attack was thwarted on the Zaporizhzhia Region; up to one company was attacking, supported by tanks, near Levadnoye. A total of two tanks, two armored vehicles, and up to 70 percent of attacking personnel were eliminated. Another attack was repelled near the settlement of Pyatikhatki: over 10 tanks were eliminated, in addition to armored vehicles and personnel,” Chekhov said on his Telegram channel.

Russia’s aviation destroyed armored combat vehicles and troop carriers and also attacked personnel concentrations near Levadne and Pyatikhatki. In contrast, Russia’s air defense forces shot down Valkyrie and Leleka drones, the military spokesman added.

Battlegroup East, supported by artillery and aviation, also defeated the Ukrainian forces that attempted to carry out offensive operations near Urozhainoye, Chekhov said.

Motorized rifle units, supported by artillery, destroyed an armored personnel carrier, and four armored vehicles, and annihilated troops. (PL)
