Iran today launched a naval exercise using state-of-the-art missiles in the Gulf of Oman and the northern Indian Ocean.

Tehran.- According to the official IRNA agency, the missile systems and naval units of the Iranian Army Navy managed to simultaneously impact and destroy a surface target at sea using the cruise missiles ‘Nasir’ and ‘Qadir’, as well as the coastal anti-ship missile ‘Qader’.

In turn, the Navy spokesman, Rear Admiral Abbas Hasani, reported that the training will last two days and is aimed at improving operational planning, combat preparedness, and command capabilities, as well as strengthening deterrence.

It was also announced that the exercises also involve surface and submarine vessels, aircraft, coastal and naval long, medium, and short-range cruise missile batteries, and electronic warfare units.

On Thursday, Local sources recall that at the end of last month, Iran and Russia also conducted joint three-day naval exercises in the Caspian Sea, the border between the two countries.
