Process of creating micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) begins

The Offices of the National Tax Administration Office (ONAT) of Las Tunas are ready to develop, as of today, the process of creating micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).

Las Tunas, Cuba.- Previously, training meetings were held with personnel who will welcome the different economic actors interested in being included in this economic modality, approved by the Council of Ministers.

Fidel Gordo, the coordinator of Government Programs in this eastern territory, explained to the Cuban News Agency that applicants to join MSMEs are aware of the possibility of carrying out a project, in which they can include various activities in their business, with the consequent level of approval, in correspondence with the legislation.

The manager pointed out that mapping was carried out in the province that showed about 26 thousand self-employed workers, of which 128 have more than three employees.

Those who make up private MSMEs will have the possibility that partners and workers can access Social Security, as state entities, while the legal entity has the advantage to position a brand in the market.

According to the legislation, micro-enterprises can have from one to ten employed persons; small ones, from 11 to 35; and medium-sized ones, from 36 to 100.
