To these that the mask hides a part of his face but not the brightness and sensitivity of their hearts, our applause goes every night.Every morning, her motivation continues to be related to saving lives. This disease called COVID-19, which today mourns much of the world, has made her change her activity and, instead of attending to a dental chair, today saves many people from other sorrows that contain fears, mistakes, despair ... through their home inquiries.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- This is Maidelys Carmenate Sánchez, Doctor of Dentistry, who works at the Aquiles Espinosa dental clinic, located in the capital city, in this province. Her visits to homes, as a vital and essential tool in this fight against the pandemic, is not only through cold questions and answers to report symptoms, she goes further. Her words, under the mask, make feel security, protection, company and, above all, humanism.

A sample of gratitudeThis is the feeling felt by Teresa Hernat Vázquez, 85 years old, one of the hundreds of people that Maidelys attends every day, in order to know her health status.

"I live alone," says Teresa, "but I am infinitely grateful for this doctor's concern for me. There are times when I feel unwell, due to things of age, but she is there, taking risks to take care of me and she watches over everything going well.”

She does not know how to express her gratitude, "it is so great that it encompasses everyone, Maidelys, all the Health personnel, the Revolution ...", and so much so that after years of not writing, she gave some letters from her heart on a piece of paper, in which she does not call her a doctor, but a friend.

Stories like these are common in our country. The most vulnerable people receive security and protection from others and that is precisely a worthy Revolution with the feeling of its people. Wherever they are, there go, doctors, professionals, athletes, social workers, neighbors, all ready to collaborate in whatever is necessary in order to guarantee health, confidence and tranquility.

Both, neighbor Teresa, as well as many others I know, would also join in this thanks, know that today our doctors are committed to their profession, which is to save lives from any trench. To these that the mask hides a part of his face but not the brightness and sensitivity of their hearts, our applause goes every night.
